If you feel great amounts of stress and anxiety, it could lead to tightness and stiffness in your muscles and joints. Kneading and stroking the areas of soft tissue in your body, such as muscles and tendons, will help you to feel extremely relaxed and can alleviate your pain. You can explore the different types of massage to see which one will most benefit you.
Types of Massage:
Swedish Massage - Do you have back, shoulder, or neck pain? With this classic massage, you can become immersed in relaxation as your therapist eases your tension by gently rubbing your body with oils.
Deep Tissue Massage - If your pain expands to the deepest parts of your body, a deep tissue massage can help remove the tension held there. It involves applying intense pressure to break up knots and ease your pain.
Holistic Massage - Emotional, mental and physical tension is stored in the muscle tissue, and skilled massage applied to the soft tissue encourages the muscular and nervous systems to relax, helping release stress and tension. The relaxing, rhythmical movements stimulates the release of endorphins, which has added psychological benefits and affects the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of the body.
Thai Massage - You can take an active part in this intensive and in-depth massage. Your whole body will be stretched and pulled to bring peacefulness and energy to your body and spirit.
Prenatal Massage - During pregnancy, you want to guarantee your baby’s protection and comfort. However, you may be feeling pain and aches due to many bodily changes. This safe massage allows you to relax without worry.
Shiatsu - If your qi (energy) feels unbalanced or blocked, you can remedy and re-harmonize it with this massage. It follows gently applies pressure following the flow of your body’s qi.
Aromatherapy Massage - Our sense of smell can play an important role in relaxation. Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment that blends soothing smells with massage for utmost comfort and peace.
Sports Massage - Whether you run, swim, or dance, sports massage can help alleviate your pain and prevent future injuries. Your therapist will personalize the massage according to your needs.
Ayurvedic Massage- Our bodies are composed of 5 elements (space, air, fire, water, and earth) that merge into 3 energy forces called Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Ayurveda balances and detoxifies these energy fields to revitalize the body.
Hot Stone - You can combine a Swedish massage with heated stones for optimum relaxation and pain relief. These hot stones are strategically placed to ease your muscle soreness and pain.
Trigger Point - When you feel sharp pain or aches in specific areas of your body, you should directly address those pain points. Trigger point relieves your pain by using intense pressure on the specific muscles causing your pain.
At the start of your session your therapist will check where your problem areas are to get a feel for how they can help. They may also chat through your medical history and any current or past injuries. This way they will be able to tailor the massage to your needs.
